Welcome to Interfaith Monmouth Center! We are formally known as The Monmouth Center for World Religions and Ethical Thought (MCWRET). Interfaith Monmouth Center strives to protect the freedom of expression. We are committed to having a safe and welcoming community where there is free expression.
We strive to foster dialogue among people from different faith/wisdom traditions and among those who don’t follow a particular tradition. We strive to create a meeting place for people from different backgrounds who wish to gain understanding about other’s beliefs.
By participating with Interfaith Monmouth Center, you agree to not display any content or engage in any activities that:
- endangers or exploits a minor;
- advocates illegal acts or is illegal;
- may provoke or condone violence toward a group or individual because of their religion, nationality, ethnicity, gender, disability, age, or sexual orientation, even if motivated by religion;
- condones violence or is vulgar;
- censures or harasses any group , entity, or person;
- violates intellectual property rights;
- may encourage or cause damage or harm to the Interfaith Monmouth Center or its participants;
- reveals or uses personal information that compromises any person’s privacy.
These Guidelines apply to your content or activity at any place on the Interfaith Monmouth Center Facebook Page or website including audio, photos, videos or articles, etc.
Interfaith Monmouth Center community functions may not be used for private messages or for soliciting money for organizations, individuals, or for yourself.
Interfaith Monmouth Center forums may not be used to promote services, products, or websites.
Please restrain using messages, containing promotions, to other members
Interfaith Monmouth Center members are from many spiritual and religious orientations. All are welcome to participate in our forums and conversations. Participating in Interfaith Monmouth Center discussions involves encountering those whose beliefs may be different from your own. Please enter these discussions in a tolerant way, accepting others’ rights to freely follow their religious beliefs, even though, to you, they may seem false.
Members will not be censored by us for their opinions, as long as they follow these Guidelines. Within our safe and welcoming community, we wish all persons to feel free to speak. Behavior that stifles community and conversations cannot be permitted. Interfaith Monmouth Center is not obliged, but has the right, to move or remove any content.
You further agree to:
- not be disruptive and not be interfering in forums, community functions or discussions,
- be courteous, even while disagreeing, about other’s ideas, but not about them as persons. This includes personal negative comments about disabilities, age, race, ethnicity, gender, nationality, intelligence, education, sexual orientation, appearance, character, mental or physical health, or other personal characteristics.
- not repeat unreasonably, more than once, the same content on Interfaith Monmouth Center forums (including URLs).
- not attempt to change the religious beliefs of another member.
- not link or upload any other programs, code, scripts, tags, files, animations or post visually disruptive content.
- not forward or post transcripts of personal communication or e-mail without getting the author’s clear permission.
- not spoof or impersonate Interfaith Monmouth Center members, volunteers, hosts, employees, public or revered religious figures.
- not survey Interfaith Monmouth Center members without first getting Interfaith Monmouth Center’s permission.
