Chhange Colloquium 2018
How do incidents of blatant hate speech and violence impact our community, our children, ourselves?
On Wednesday, May 9th, Chhange hosts Detective David D’Amico, a New Jersey detective who has worked extensively with bias crimes and juvenile offenders, and Susan Bro, the mother of Heather Heyer, the activist who lost her life while protesting against hate in Charlottesville, VA last summer.
This year’s Colloquium will prepare you to Stand Up Against Hate in your community and on a global scale. Following our keynote speakers, you can visit our new exhibit Journeys Beyond Genocide: The Human Experience and learn about current crises around the world in our interactive section: Stand Up For Human Rights. Admission to the colloquium also includes a preview of our 5th Annual Student Art Installation, also entitled “Stand Up Against Hate.”
