WHO: 6th-12th graders in groups from schools and places of worship (plus adult
chaperones/drivers)
WHY: To use this day off school to honor the legacy of Dr. King by serving those in need in our community.
COST: $25 plus a toiletry item to donate per person (including participants AND
chaperones/drivers).
WHERE WE’LL SERVE: We’ll place you at a service site within an easy drive
of Freehold. If your group is more than one vehicle, you may serve at multiple sites.
WHAT TO BRING: A toiletry item to donate (full or travel sized; ideas include
toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, shaving cream, razors, shampoo, conditioner, soap, Qtips, feminine hygiene products), a water bottle, weather-appropriate clothing (could be outside!), and a willingness to serve wherever needed! If your site needs extra supplies, we’ll let you know that ahead of time.
WHAT IS INCLUDED: The Center for FaithJustice provides day of staffing, program set up (service sites, promotional information, reflections) and provides opening and closing prayer services, reflection time and related activities.
